Forced Resignation Party
The Executive Director at one of the state agencies I worked at was finally forced to resign last week. In celebration of his demise, my ex coworkers purchased this cake for a party. They requested the cake be red velvet to complete the effect when they cut him up to eat. This cake used a new technique of Frozen Butter Cream transfer that I enjoyed trying for the first time. I look forward to many ways to use this technique! This cake was 1/2 a sheet cake in size.

Wedding Shower - Bell

This cake was for a Wedding Shower/Bachelorette Weekend for my friend Brandi back in March 2007. Not sure I will go to these lengths for that kind of party again though. People just don't eat cake with Beer and Wine. Lesson learned, but it was yummy and turned out good too. I was able to use some of my roses, daffodils, and pink violets for this. Guess it's time to make some more flowers. I'm getting a bit low.
Golf! Golf!

A surprise cake for my Father's 60th Birthday in December 2007.
This cake took a while to put together. Between the pieces and all the cutting of the cake to make the shapes. Not to mention the coloring of all the fondant I was worn out. Almost no cake was left after the party though. So, I know it was a hit and well worth my time.
Small Wedding Cake
This cake was done for some friends 10th wedding anniversary June 2007. They had eloped 10 years ago and never had a wedding cake. I was so excited to get to surprise them with this. Congratulations Beth and Charlie McDanielsThe cake was a basic yellow cake with butter cream icing. I then covered the cake with fondant and added accents with more butter cream. The yellow roses are actual flowers. I wasn't convinced I could make yellow icing roses look as good as the real thing.
